Website Perspective

Website perspective:

This websites intention is to inform people of things happening around the world whether it is good or bad. The website says these photos are some of the best in the world. Most of the pictures taken are graphic and shot in places where drastic things are taking place. Such as South America, or the Middle East. They write about the photos they take. The photos are more based on things happening around the world. I would say it is more like a newspaper than just random pictures that are cool. An average viewer can get a better look on what is currently going on in the news. They can find out what is happening and where it is happening. The viewers can also see some pretty cool photos and get some inspiration. I will add this website in my bookmarks. I think they have some very interesting pictures and I can learn about the news and not be bored at the same time. Also, I can learn and look to see how I can improve and get more interesting shots. I would 10/10 recommend this website to anyone. My parents would like this because it incorporates what is going on around us on the earth. My friends would like it because it has some very cool shots. I would give this website a rating of 5 out of 5 because the photos are taken from all around. I really enjoy looking at photos from all other cultures.

This photo is one of my favorites. It is one of my favorites because of the light coming through the building and the man standing in the doorway. He is clothed in a priest robe and has images of Mother Mary in the back round. I learned that the building is a chapel held in El Salvador. A mass is held at La Joya’s for the massacre victim Teodora Ramirez on the 35th anniversary of when he was shot. Teodora was killed on Dec. 10, 2016. The Mexican photographer, James Rodriguez lived in Guatemala for 12 years and offered him a way to see the lingering after affects of the conflicts in Central America. Rodriguez heard about the service being held for Ramirez and knew he had to fly in and capture the moment.  The reburials were a big event, attracting people who had left the region during war. The painful memories were calmed by a sense of community.
