welcome back

A family stands in the remains of their destroyed home in Roche-a-Bateau, southwestern Haiti, on Oct. 8, 2016. Roche-a-Bateau suffered widespread destruction with many homes destroyed as Hurricane Matthew ripped through the Caribbean devastating large parts of the island, on Oct. 4, 2016.
This was one of my favorite because it shows us how we are very privileged to be able to live under a roof.
Millions of bison, sacred to Native Americans, once blanketed the Great Plains. But by the start of the 20th century, the animals had been hunted to near extinction and were thought to be a lost cause. A dedicated public and private conservation effort has nurtured a revival, and today hundreds of thousands of bison range across parts of Wyoming, Nebraska, the Dakotas and Montana, like this herd at Ted Turner's Flying D Ranch, on June 14, 2016.
I like this photo because of the herds of what ever animal they are and the bright green grass.

This photo really scares me, but it is very cool.

1. My favorite song of 2016 was Tainted Love by Soft Cell. I found this song in the midst of my love for the 80's. I heard this song on the radio, and immediately fell in love with the instrumental sounds. Through this song, I was introduced into the world of old and classic music from decades ago.Image result for soft cell

2. The best movie I saw this year was Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo. My favorite genre of movie is horror, but I loved this one. It is more suspense than horror. I really enjoy Hitchcock's work because he thinks of twisted and weird story plots.
 Vertigo (1958)
3. I think the most important news story of 2016, was Trump being elected for president. This created many riots and giant discussions across the mass media. Many people have different opinions on politics.

4. The person who inspired me the most this year is a YouTuber named Alyse Brautigam. She has inspired me to go vegan, hit the gym, and to love myself. Through YouTube, she has shown me many ways to improve my life.

5. The entertainment story that changed my life was a movie called Cowspiracy. This movie showed me how the dairy, leather, and meat industry works. It is a terrible process and extremely un-ethical.
